Find Your Unique Composition

All men are not created equal — I do not mean to be demeaning to anyone, it’s just that people have different traits and characteristics. I’ve found it useful to understand my own ‘archetype’ or ‘genius.’ According to Roger James Hamilton’s Wealth Dynamics, there are four quadrants of ‘frequencies,’ defined by two dimensions: Thinking and Action. The y-axis represents thinking dynamics, ranging from sensory thinking to intuitive thinking. The x-axis represents action dynamics, ranging from introverted action to extroverted action.

If we think of wealth flow as a river, the amount of current at any given time is determined by the difference in vertical elevation (value) multiplied by the horizontal width (leverage).

Wealth = Value x Leverage

We can map this wealth flow to its dynamics. Value is created through thinking, from intuitive thinking (head in the clouds) to sensory thinking (ear to the ground). On the other hand, leverage is achieved either through introverted multiplication (mainly by increasing supply) or extroverted magnification (mainly by raising demand).

Wealth is rarely created by a single person — it requires the cooperation of different types of people. Wealth Dynamics categorizes people into eight profiles, each occupying a position on the wealth dynamics quadrants, spaced 45 degrees apart. These profiles are Creator, Star, Supporter, Deal Maker, Trader, Accumulator, Lord, and Mechanic.

Not surprisingly, I mostly align with the Lord profile, with significant portions of Accumulator and Mechanic. In short, I heavily rely on my left brain and lack strong people skills. However, knowing ‘who’ I am brings a sense of relief. I no longer feel the need to become someone I’m not. Instead, I can invite those who complement my strengths to join my life. I can then focus on sharpening my own skills while building knowledge of supply-and-demand, market cycles, geopolitics, and improving cash-flow-generating systems and processes.

It is a tragedy to misplace oneself within the wealth dynamics. People can only enjoy their work if they understand their unique value proposition. As a Lord, I tend to monitor everything myself, often coming across as a control freak. To succeed, I need to find a strong Supporter to handle networking on my behalf and Deal Makers to identify the best opportunities for me.
